Terms
Last updated: July 4, 2026
By accessing or using WPSentry, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using WPSentry (the "Service"), operated by WPSentry ("we", "us", or "our"), you ("you" or the "user") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or purchase a subscription. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Description of Service
WPSentry provides external WordPress security scanning and monitoring services, including:
- Automated security vulnerability scanning
- SSL certificate and security header analysis
- Plugin and theme vulnerability detection
- DNS and server configuration checks
- Uptime monitoring and alerting
- Security reports and recommendations
All scanning is performed externally, without installing software on the target site. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
4. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use & Scan Authorization
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Scan or test any website that you do not own or for which you do not have explicit authorization
- Use the Service to conduct malicious activity, attacks, or unauthorized intrusion
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
- Use automated tools to access the Service beyond your plan's limits
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan any domain you submit. Running scans against systems you are not authorized to test may be unlawful.
6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method until you cancel.
- Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then.
- Plan changes: Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing period.
- Refunds: Except where required by applicable law, fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us and we will review your request in good faith.
- Taxes: Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which you are responsible for.
We may change our fees with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by WPSentry and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your data but grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely to provide and improve the Service.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WPSentry shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or downtime
- The accuracy or completeness of scan results
Security scanning provides an external assessment and may not detect all vulnerabilities. Results should be used as one component of a comprehensive security strategy, not as a guarantee that a site is secure.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which WPSentry operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties before pursuing formal resolution before the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
